Tackling the Uncertainties of Label Printing: Proposing a Sustainable Production System with AI-Enabled Offset and High-Speed Water-Based Inkjet Printing

Miyakoshi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture; President and CEO: Toru Miyakoshi) will be exhibiting at Labelexpo Europe 2025 (Booth: Hall 5/5A68), which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, for four days from Tuesday, September 16th to Friday, September 19th, 2025.

In the European label printing market, market demands on label printing companies are becoming more sophisticated, due to growing demand for short-run, personalized printing, as well as concerns about stricter regulations in the food and pharmaceutical sectors and growing interest in environmental considerations.
Alongside these changes, there is a strong demand for printing sites to build production systems that combine sustainability and operational efficiency, such as the ability to respond flexibly to applications, quantities, and delivery dates, as well as reducing waste and environmental impact.
Under the theme of “Tack a New Label on your Business,” Miyakoshi will be showcasing solutions that will improve productivity and environmental performance at label printing sites through actual machine demonstrations.

yaless AI Professional and yaless-Eye™, AI-assisted setup and operation systems

Automating setting operations and eliminating the need for skilled personnel in offset printing contributes to improved efficiency, stable print quality, and a significant reduction in paper waste. At the venue, the Miyakoshi LPS13A intermittent LED-UV offset label press, which boasts excellent operating efficiency and running costs, will be equipped with the yaless AI Professional setting operation AI assist system, and will also be exhibited for the first time with the yaless-Eye TM operator interface, which utilizes generative AI.
We will be showcasing highly automated, skill-less operations and interactive communication between the operator and the printing press via AI through a live demonstration. yaless AI Professional and yaless-Eye TM will be officially released for sale in Japan on September 16th.
 

High-speed water-based inkjet label printer “MJP14LXA” (reference technology exhibit)

Using water-based pigment ink, it achieves high-speed printing of 80 meters per minute at 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi. It will revolutionize the entire label manufacturing process and dramatically increase the ability to respond quickly to market changes. During the actual machine demonstration, you will be able to see the excellent print quality of the high-speed inkjet printer, and we will also be preparing a CG video of the future vision of the developed machine.
